Founded in the second half of 2008 under Rector Vice Admiral Farooq Rashid, with its first batch of MBBS students beginning that year; it was formally inaugurated by the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir, on 29 January 2009. The first MBBS batch graduated in December 2013.
